When Metal Blade Records reached out looking for a music photographer in Melbourne with an enquiry to take care of the Black Dahlia Murder 2025 press campaign, as a lifelong fan of heavy music (the late 90's powermetal and black metal scene was something special), it was an instant yes. Sneaking in an insanely quick photoshoot before their Melbourne show in Northcote, we hauled a modest little kit into the back room of the Northcote theatre, and clicked away at these jetlagged maestros before seeing them tear the roof off just a few hours later.
